As a partner at Gentry Locke, my law practice focuses on working with companies in construction-related businesses to solve problems, work through tough issues and disputes, and achieve results. From helping form up the contracts for a complicated project through use of form or manuscript documents, to working through payment disputes using mechanic\'s liens or payment bonds, to addressing issues of delay and productivity claims arising from extended durations of performance, Gentry Locke\'s construction practice covers all of these and more. Our practice affords us the chance to work proactively with contractors, construction managers, owners, subcontractors, suppliers, insurers, sureties, design professionals, and others involved in this fascinating, challenging, and ever-changing industry. These situations often result in mediation, arbitration, and/or litigation, whether in state or federal courts. In addition, I spend time working with companies in the construction industry and in general industry working through workplace safety and health issues where they intersect with the OSHA laws as applied in the Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Department of Labor and Industry\'s Occupational Safety & Health division (VOSH).Beyond this, I enjoy being involved in the management of Gentry Locke and leading our firm\'s business development and community outreach efforts.
