ABOUT BRETT HUNDLEY

I work at the intersection of sustainability and capital markets in the food & agribusiness space. Agroforestry Partners is an impact investment fund that transfers the risks and burdens of the regenerative agriculture transition off the shoulders of farmers and onto long-term investors. We integrate nut, fruit, and timber trees together with animal and/or crop farming systems in an effort to improve soil health, water quality, carbon sequestration, biodiversity, and farm profitability for landowners. When constructed properly, agroforestry can lead to meaningful financial and nature-related returns for all stakeholders. Agroforestry Partners acts as an important hub for financing, project management, research, and collaborative growth.Most of my career has focused on financial and strategic analysis of the food, ingredient, and agribusiness industries, together with private-sector sustainability advisory work. I spent 15 years as an equity research analyst covering a wide range of food and ag sectors in North America and the EMEA region, to include:> Grain storage, trading, and processing> Food additives and ingredients> Fresh fruit and vegetables> Meat and dairy protein> Packaged foodI also have experience guiding companies from around the world on their ESG and sustainability programming and communications. I hold a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in natural resources. My sustainability research projects include corporate climate adaptation planning, natural resource systems mapping, cultural/leadership communications, U.S. environmental law, and global ESG reporting standards, frameworks, and ratings.
