I currently work as a Material Manager at L3Harris Corporation in Fort Wayne, IN. This work includes:Coordinating with our centralized procurement team on getting material on order in an efficient manager to help meet program needs and schedule. Managing and tracking purchase orders to ensure material arrives on schedule; when issues arise with those orders, working with procurement and those suppliers to come up with cost effective and efficient solutions to solve those issues to meet program needs and schedule. Close coordination with the program office to track issues and risks throughout program execution. Working with our finance team on cost account management and forecasting Work with the Program Management Office, Procurement, Quality, and Engineering to generate cost efficient, effective, and innovative solutions in response to proposals by government and commercial contractors. I am a proud graduate of Indiana State University with a bachelors degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management with a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.

   I currently am the material planner for a new program, ordering material when needed. I work with bill of materials and parts lists on a daily basis, ensuring everything is up to date and material gets ordered when needed and requested. I work heavily with our buyers, making sure our suppliers know exactly what is needed and in a timely fashion.I also work heavily with production control and the stockroom, ensuring material is correctly flowed through the building. I have also been involved with inventory management, mainly cycle counts and inventory checks.Also, working HBX (six sigma projects) is a huge part of Harris’s success. I have been involved in many projects including: streamlining our process of removing material from stock and reducing costs and scrapping rates, while also being invoked in PFMEAS and risk matrices.
