I supervise the fire prevention offices of my assigned districts which currently are Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, the cities of Dania Beach, Hallandale Beach, Pembroke Park, West Park, and Unincorporated Broward County. I plan, development, and manage training for all assigned personnel. Prepare, review, and evaluate administrative records and reports. Participate in administrative activities such as management meetings, policy development, internal and external communications, and budget development and administration. Manage all fire prevention software and hardware. Provide data analysis for compliance reporting and the development of zone completion strategies. Provide public relations through education, presentations, and demonstrations. Receive and respond to complaints, inquires, and concerns from internal and external sources. Assist internal and external stakeholders with the development of compliance plans and the adoption of alternative means and methods. Provide guidance to resolve complex compliance issues. Perform fire inspections, plan reviews, and special event inspections as needed.
