Relevant project experience at EBI and at other firms includes: 1) Managed, conducted, and provided technical oversight for numerous Phase I ESAs for sites throughout the United States, as well as ISAs and HSLAs for sites in California, in accordance with ASTM E 1527. 2) Designed and conducted/managed numerous subsequent Phase II assessments throughout the United States. Examples include dry cleaning facilities, aerospace engineering facilities, electrical manufacturing facilities, pulp mills, automobile dealerships and/or repair shops, aggregate mining sites, shooting ranges, hot mix plants (asphalt concrete), burn dumps, and hospitals. 3) Managed, conducted, and provided technical support for the following: a) Numerous PHC- and/or chlorinated solvent related facilities throughout the United States. b) A former coal mine backfilled with cement kiln dust (CKD) in Washington. c) Several “Rails to Trails” projects in California. d) Various remediation and compliance projects including the following California sites: Port of Richmond, Marina Bay, NHOU Superfund Site, and the PG & E’s Topock and Hinkley Compressor Station sites. Remediation/mitigation technologies have included large scale soil remediation projects, dual phase extraction systems, SVE and/or AS systems, EFR, chemical oxidant injections, and SSDS. e) Several Brownfields projects. f) Various solid waste facilities including active and former landfills including former burn dumps. 4) Managed, operated, and maintained soil, soil gas, and groundwater remediation systems. 5) Designed and conducted soil gas and/or groundwater monitoring programs. 6) Provided geologist services for both environmental and geotechnical subsurface investigations. 7) Provided expert witness testimony in a dry cleaning litigation case.
