ABOUT BRETON TYNER-BRYAN
I am an Executive Producer, Creative Director, and Writer–Director working across feature films, television, and immersive media, with a focus on narrative cinema and movie musicals.I am the founder of Breton Follies, under which I am producing and directing multiple feature films in active development. I am currently in post-production on a feature film, while concurrently attached to direct additional features with cast in place. My work explores time, memory, interior worlds, and metaphysical or darkly comic themes, blending cinematic storytelling with music, performance, and strong visual authorship. It is frequently described as impressionistic, visually driven, and music-forward. Press comparisons have cited Black Swan for its kinetic, psychological, and musical sensibility, noting the work as visually distinctive and narratively immersive. In addition to directing and producing, I collaborate with Grammy- and Tony Award–winning artists on performance-centered and music-driven projects. I have served as Creative Director for bands and led immersive installations for global beauty and fashion brands, including Shiseido, bringing cinematic storytelling into branded, experiential, and live environments across beauty, fashion, liquor, and lifestyle sectors.I originate and develop original IP for film and television with a long-term ownership strategy, extending select projects into published formats. My executive scope includes development, casting, talent strategy, location development, and advising writers and composers, guiding projects from concept through production. I have led projects with budgets ranging from $1–12M and managed large, cross-disciplinary creative teams. My leadership is grounded in hands-on creative practice across editing, visual design, and performance, supported by a foundation as a classically trained ballet dancer, informing rhythm, visual precision, and actor-centered directing. I have also designed and taught graduate-level curriculum in film, performance, and creative entrepreneurship. My projects have received 100+ international awards across major film, fashion, and experimental festivals. imd.me/bretontynerbryanSelected credits include:A24 • HBO • Netflix • Showtime • ABC • The Roku Channel • Tubi • New York Fashion WeekScope includes executive producing, original IP development, creative direction, director attachment, and immersive storytelling.Based in New York City.
