ABOUT BRET SHEFFIELD
As Executive Vice President of Development Services for VanTrust, Bret leads the Development Services group for all VanTrust markets. This includes guidance of all design and construction activities, city entitlements, and commissioning. All activities related to the physical delivery of the projects. The Development Services professionals work closely with the Development and Asset Management groups to deliver the project on budget, on schedule, with high quality.Bret has been engaged in commercial real estate development, construction and architecture since 1987. He has managed the development of projects including entitlements, due diligence, financial feasibility, incentives, leasing, property management, and dispositions. Bret directs the development process throughout the life of the project. This includes interaction and coordination with internal and external team members such as land owners, brokers, government agencies, lenders, engineers, architects, construction managers and property managers. Bret is involved in land transactions, redevelopment projects, build-to-suits, tenant leases, and strategic planning. He is involved in the successful delivery of projects from concept through disposition.
