As the PEIA Director, I serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Public Employees Insurance Agency (PEIA), a State agency providing healthcare coverage to eligible State employees, State retirees, and their families. I am responsible for the overall administration, management, and policy development of the PEIA healthcare plans, including their day-to-day operations and strategic direction. I oversee the agency\'s annual $1B+ budget and financial management, ensuring that the plans remain financially sustainable, while working with legislators, other state agencies, providers, and members to ensure the effective functioning of both the PEIA plans and the Retiree Health Benefit Trust Fund (RHBT). I provide executive leadership and direction to the agency\'s staff members, ensuring that they are properly trained and supported in carrying out their duties, and I represent the agency at public events and in the media, promoting PEIA\'s benefits and addressing stakeholders\' questions and concerns.
