ABOUT BRENTON WARE

I\'m a dynamic, results-focused, detail-oriented research scientist who specializes in making cell culture products and liver models for drug toxicity screening, biomaterial testing, biocompatibility studies, and disease modeling. To date, these projects have led to $7.8M+ in research revenue. I hope that these models will be instrumental to ensuring that new pharmaceutical and medical device products will be safe for the patient.I have 8+ years of experience in project management, new product development, leadership of cross-functional teams, and laboratory management. I am also highly skilled in technical communication as demonstrated by 13 co-authored publications, 33 presentations, 3 granted U.S. patents, and a textbook methods chapter.During my time at Medtronic, I focused on medical device quality systems and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) testing systems. These systems oversaw biocompatibility testing (cytotoxicity, hemolysis, complement activation, partial thromboplastin time, and skin irritation) for a variety of medical devices and their constituent materials. In my free time, I enjoy a long swim, a trip down the ski hill, or helping out my friends and neighbors with whatever they might need.I thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment that challenges my capacity in problem solving.
