ABOUT BRENTT BROWN

I have dedicated over two decades to the field learning and development. My career started as a consultant who conducted over 40 economic impact research studies and led dozens of policy initiatives for high-quality early childhood education. This work helped multiple states enact public Pre-K legislation. During this time I received my Master\'s in Public Policy from UC Berkeley. After California adopted the Common Core Standards, I made the decision to get closer to the front lines of policy implementation. I led R&D for a K12 coaching and professional development nonprofit. A key component of this approach involved tapping Design Thinking strategies to help over 30 districts navigate this massive multi-year transformation. I am a founding member and senior executive at Mursion, which has become the world\'s leading AI powered immersive learning and coaching platform working with a third of the Fortune to change leadership behaviors at scale. Mursion launched as a platform for aspiring teachers, and I led the strategy and execution for expanding our market to corporate training. As the VP of Growth & Innovation led the business development teams that helped the Ed Tech start-up gain a Series B valuation of $100M with ARR of $20M. I am passionate about mission-oriented technology companies and roles that enable me to leverage my strategic thinking and creativity. I aim to leverage my experience in public policy, EdTech and AI for companies to be more strategic, ethical and relevant in the future.I proudly serve as a board member for Mannington Mills, a global multi-generational family flooring business. I am a guitarist and lead singer / songwriter for Pirate Radio, a staple of San Francisco indie rock scene for over two decades.
