ABOUT BRENTON WILLIAMS

I am a Field Geologist at Terracon with a B.S. in Geology, a B.A. in French, and a minor in Geoinformatics. I combine a strong foundation in tectonics, structural geology, geochemistry, and water resources with hands on experience in both environmental and geotechnical subsurface investigations.In my current role, I focus on geotechnical field services, including soil and rock classification, logging subsurface conditions, and supporting drilling operations such as SPT, CPT and DPT investigations. I work closely with drill crews to ensure accurate data collection and assist in evaluating subsurface conditions for engineering applications. I regularly utilize industry software such as TabLogs, gINT, pLOG, and GIS platforms to produce detailed boring logs, site maps, and technical figures.I also bring prior experience conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, soil and groundwater sampling, and supporting environmental compliance efforts, which adds a well rounded perspective to subsurface characterization.My undergraduate research focused on East-West lineations in the Southeastern Appalachian Mountains, presented at the 2025 GSA Southeastern Section Meeting and the 2025 CofC Student Expo. Additional research projects include remote sensing analyses, bathymetric mapping, and land use change studies.With advanced proficiency in French and strong analytical skills, I bring precision, adaptability, and technical depth to every project I support.
