About Brent Palmer

Brent Palmer is a vice president in the External Investing Group (XIG) within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, based in New York, where he is a member of the XIG Hedge Fund Investment Team. Brent focuses on the Group\'s quantitative investments, including quant and fundamental equity market neutral, global macro, CTA, and technology-focused long/short strategies. He is responsible for the Group’s largest investment in the multi-PM/multi-strategy space, as well as its largest tax-aware investments. Previously, he was a member of the XIG (formerly AIMS) Strategic Partnerships & Client Portfolio Solutions team, based in Hong Kong, where he led institutional and private wealth client coverage across the Group\'s Asia Ex-Japan presence, as well as investment coverage of fundamental equity long/short hedge funds in the region. Before his time in Hong Kong, Brent was based in New York, where he was a member of the XIG Client Portfolio Solutions Team focused on hedge funds. He received a BA in Economics, magna cum laude, from Hamilton College and a MS in Mathematics in Finance from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University.
