ABOUT BRENT ELLIOTT
Dr Brent Elliott is a consultant neuropsychiatrist in neurological sleep medicine at Guy’s Hospital, and a consultant neuropsychiatrist to the Rapid Access and Acute Rehabilitation Brain Injury (RAAR) team at the Royal London Hospital where he was service lead and Associate Clinical Director between 20••••23. He is also a consultant neuropsychiatrist to the neurosciences institute at the Cleveland Clinic London. He was an Honorary consultant neuropsychiatrist to the Chalfont Centre for Epilepsy (20••••16) and later to the TBI MDT at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (20••••26).He is a clinical psychiatrist with a particular interest in the management of sleep-circadian disruption and psychiatric conditions arising in the context of neurological illness, for example traumatic brain injury, stroke, epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease. He also has extensive general experience in acute crisis psychiatry through his work within the Royal London Hospital’s Emergency Department and Major Trauma Centre over the past decade.He holds an MSc in Sleep Medicine from the University of Oxford where he is currently a probationer DPhil (PhD) student looking at the relationships between sleep-circadian dysfunction after brain injury and mental health.
