About Brent Rice
ProNova Solutions manufactures, installs, and operates the SC360 — the world\'s only compact superconducting 360° proton therapy system — and I lead the teams that keep it running. As Vice President of Customer Solutions, I\'m responsible for installation and commissioning, operations and maintenance, field services, and administrative support across ProNova\'s installed base. My team embeds factory-trained engineers and technicians on-site at every facility, delivering OEM-level preventive and corrective maintenance, spare parts management, and system availability performance that other providers can\'t match. We offer tiered service programs — from comprehensive full-service coverage with industry-leading uptime guarantees to transparent managed services models — because every proton therapy program has a different operational and financial profile. Beyond clinical proton therapy, ProNova operates the only 230 MeV proton accelerator with a dedicated beam line for radiation effects testing. We provide semiconductor manufacturers, defense contractors, and the space and aviation industries a purpose-built environment to validate mission-critical components — with flexible scheduling, dedicated physics support, and 100% uninterrupted beam access. We\'re also developing creative energy solutions for proton therapy centers. Multi-room proton systems are among the most energy-intensive installations in healthcare, and we\'re building programs that can meaningfully reduce a center\'s total cost of ownership — a capability no other proton therapy OEM is pursuing. Before ProNova, I led aftermarket operations at Nixon Energy Solutions across parts, services, O&M, and aftermarket sales, and managed Branch service and technical operations at Johnson Controls. The thread through my career has been taking complex, high-value systems and building the teams, processes, and automation that make them perform reliably for customers every day.
