About Brent Whiteman

I call myself a lifelong learner. I am a very enthusiastic, driven, and hard working individual with an eagerness for leading and problem solving in ambiguous and complex situations. I thrive in team environments and enjoy working cross-functionally with other specialties. I am a Senior Director at Chatham Financial where I lead the hedging advisory practice for our Western U.S. real estate clients. We advise our clients on interest rate and foreign exchange rate hedging strategies, defeasance, debt management, and valuations.I transitioned from active duty military service in late 2015 after 5 and a half years in the U.S. Air Force. In my last assignment, I served as a Procuring Contracting Officer for the Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle program at the Space and Missile Systems Center at Los Angeles Air Force Base. During my time on active duty, I also served one tour in Afghanistan where I led contracting support for construction, humanitarian, and infrastructure projects throughout Eastern Afghanistan- Masters in Public Policy, Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government, Class of 2012, concentration: Business and Government Policy- Bachelor of Science in Management, United States Air Force Academy, Class of 2010.
