Mr. Sumner is a coastal engineer with 25 years experience at Baird on a wide variety of international projects including port facilities and marine terminals and projects throughout North America. He has substantial heavy construction experience in a marine environment and works exclusively in the field of coastal and marine engineering. Related experience:• Extensive experience in field investigations, quarries (rock armour) and marine construction.• Extensive experience in the design and construction of rubble mound structures.• Assessment and peer reviews of the navigation related design aspects.• Intimately familiar with the technical, environmental and economic challenges associated with the complex coastal environment, and the logistical challenges associated with project implementation in remote locations.
