About Brent McKenzie
Dr Brent McKenzie is CSO of Seranova Bio. An immunologist with 20+years experience in academia and industry. He received a PhD in Medical Biology from the Walter and Eliza Hall institute Australia and did his postdoctoral training at the WEHI, DNAX and Schering Plough where he pioneered seminal discoveries in IL-23/Th17 biology identifying RORgt as key regulator of Th17 cells. He has wide ranging experience in drug development in inflammation, autoimmunity, cancer, fibrosis, coagulation, transplantation, metabolism and vaccine development. Prior to joining Seranova he was VP of Discovery at Sonoma Biotherapeutics (Cell therapy) and held Research Director roles at Genentech and CSL td. Brent is a passionate (and busy) father of three teenagers. Specialties: Drug discovery, Partnering, NPO evaluation, MOA, PK, PD, POC & benchmarking for drug development in unmet medical needs in cancer, inflammation, fibrosis, coagulation, autoimmunity, vaccines and metabolism.
