About Brent Davis
I am a Senior Economist (Senior Director level) at the TIAA Institute specializing in household finance, pensions, retirement, and behavioral economics. I currently work on annuities, investment decisions, plan design, HSAs, retiree health, retirement income, and retirement decisions.I have a deep understanding of financial security and household finance issues. Prior to joining the TIAA Institute, I was a faculty member in the Department of Public Finance at the University of Innsbruck in Austria. I earned my Ph.D. and M.S. in economics from the Florida State University and a B.S. in mathematics from St. Lawrence University.

I am a Senior Economist at the TIAA Institute. The TIAA Institute provides thought leadership in the areas of retirement, financial security, financial literacy, and higher education. Currently, I conduct research on retirement, behavioral finance, health savings accounts, and retiree health issues.
