About Brent Downs
Spent the first 17 years of his professional career in the corporate sector as a sales manager for an industrial service organization and corporate trainer for Dale Carnegie Institute, training hundreds of Fortune 500 business executives and staff. In 2003, Brent committed his professional expertise to the Phoenix non-profit, Crossroads, Inc, a 50 year old residential recovery program serving men and women affected by substance use disorder. As assistant executive director, some of his major achievements include the expansion from 3 facilities serving 75 residents to 7 facilities serving 300 residents. He planned and managed the most successful fund-raising events in Crossroads’ history, raising nearly a million dollars, and was instrumental in the training and development of staff. In 2011, he became the Executive Director of St Joseph the Worker, a 24 year old valley non-profit that provides employment services to homeless and disadvantaged individuals. His professional and personal affiliations included being member of the board of the Scottsdale/Paradise Valley YMCA, CB4C, and various other non-profits. Brent is passionate about and skilled in supporting disadvantaged individuals to become healthy, successful, productive members of society. He is a highly respected member of the non-profit community, known for his professionalism, work-ethic, and passion to help individuals in need.
