ABOUT BRENT BUCHINE

Brent A. Buchine, Ph.D. brings more than 20 years of experience as a leader in the life sciences and semiconductor industries, with a proven track record in company formation, innovation, and growth. Formally trained as a materials scientist, his career has been defined by successfully starting and building multiple companies, identifying unmet needs, transforming ideas into products, establishing active customer pipelines, raising capital for new ventures, and delivering transformative results.Dr. Buchine co-founded Windgap Medical, inc, a privately held company developing groundbreaking combination products and drug delivery solutions to solve some of the most complex challenges facing modern injectables. At Windgap, he has held roles as CTO, Interim CEO, and currently serves as the company’s Chief Business Officer (CBO) and a member of the board of directors.Dr. Buchine has been instrumental in shaping the company’s product strategy, developing and executing R&D programs, as well as building high-functioning teams to tackle complex technical and commercial challenges. His leadership spans strategic and operational aspects of business, including fundraising, product strategy, and corporate partnerships. He’s closed licensing transactions valued in the hundreds of millions, established and managed a robust global intellectual property portfolio with more than 100+ issued patents, and helped raise over $75 million in angel, retail, and institutional capital.
