About Tim Brennan

Tim Brennan advises organizations on responsible investing solutions. He works with foundations, endowments, religious organizations, family offices, colleges and universities to plan and implement investment management practices that incorporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into the process. This includes security screening, ESG portfolio weighting, shareholder advocacy, proxy voting and impact investing. He draws on nearly 20 years of experience in responsible investing and thirty years of experience in the investment field to design a program customized to the needs of your organization. Tim Brennan served as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of the Unitarian Universalist Association from 2006 to 2019. There he oversaw the Association’s assets including the UU Common Endowment Fund, the UU Organizations Retirement Fund, charitable gift funds, outside trusts, and real estate with combined assets of approximately $600 million. He was a member of the UUA’s Investment Committee, Socially Responsible Investing Committee, Retirement Plan Committee, and the UUA Health Plan Board of Trustees. Tim came to the UUA after seven years with Ceres, the national network of institutional investors working to advance corporate responsibility for the environment. As Senior Director, he worked with major environmental organizations, religious investors, the SRI community, and major pension funds on issues such as climate change and corporate sustainability disclosure. In addition, Tim spent seven years working for a New York investment company and has many years of experience in nonprofit financial management. He currently serves on the board of the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility. Tim holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in finance and accounting.
