ABOUT BRENNAN MCVEIGH
I was educated at Dalhousie University (Halifax, NS), earning the mechanical engineering degree that trained me in the foundational professional ethics and critical analysis skills that inform everything I do. However, perhaps more importantly, the campus experience taught me about taking accountability for leading myself and others through change. I began to think critically about what circumstances were worth accepting as they are, and where my energy should be strategically focused for the common good. My determination and appetite for leadership probably caused me overextend myself through positions within the faculty and students’ union – but the experience gave me my true professional formation, and earning skills that have refined with each passing year. Today, they present as well-practiced aptitude in public speaking, negotiation, persuasive communication, consensus building, collaborative problem analysis and solution design, and decision-making.
