Complete compensation surveys and assess which surveys provide value to VH; assess which surveys VH should participate in and use. Classify positions into internal market ranges based on external market data. •Review and analyze internal compensation for pay equity on a regular basis •Ensure positions are in FLSA compliance and classified correctly. •Work with the Managing Director of HR and HR System Administrator on the annual merit process, annual bonus process, and other related processing. •Prepare various compensation reports for Leadership Team •Employee Relations conducts HR investigations regarding employee complaints and personnel matters. •Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed. •Participate in meetings with client leadership and assist with long- and short-term planning of assigned business unit. This includes, but is not limited to, forecasting of staffing requirements, space planning and parking requirements to support structural needs. Ensures that Human Resources implications of strategic business decisions are considered and evaluated. Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations. •Knowledge of company policies and procedures, employment and compensation practices, and company benefits plans. •Consult with managers on HR matters that relate to HR strategies, programs, and processes in support of the overall business strategy. Effectively, communicate with managers and have the ability to influence and coach at all levels of the organization. •Analyze performance gaps and organizational trends to identify targeted actions and HR programs that mitigate people related risks. •Conducts investigations as required to address employee relations issues such as, performance issues, and or allegations of harassment. •Make recommendations for corrective action and disciplinary matters.
