About Brenna Onge

Brenna is a pragmatic and passionate visionary with over 19 years of leadership experience in both for profit and nonprofit operations. As a consultant, she pulls from a decade of hands-on leadership experience in Corporate Social Responsibility and nine years as a nonprofit executive working to mobilize both on-the-ground and systems-level solutions.She is the founder and CEO of B the Light Consulting. Through this work, she partners with her clients to champion adaptive and resilient organizations and communities by harnessing the power of nature’s wisdom and regenerative principles. This pragmatic approach melds transformational leadership with innovative systems design to navigate today’s challenges. Fall of 2024 Brenna launched The Regenerative World Quest (RWQ). It is a multi-year, international, immersive, nonprofit, research project to identify, study, and uplift around 100 communities all over the world that are living in a regenerative way. The goal is to find and implement replicable solutions to our most pressing problems that already have proof of concept, measurable impact and lead to community resilience. Regenerative Living is a paradigm shift beyond extraction, and consumption that represents a way of being, acting, governing, and living in deep harmony with nature. It is the fullest expression of self-sufficiency and resilient community design.Over the years Brenna has led teams from 10 to 240, co-created and implemented numerous strategic plans, raised millions of dollars, successfully managed multimillion dollar projects and budgets, and overseen brand acquisitions and mergers. Through her work in the corporate world Brenna helped to launch the early days of CSR in the hospitality industry. In addition, Brenna co-founded and led a coalition that influenced over 66 Colorado state laws between 2020 and 2023 by cultivating and connecting a network of leaders from all sectors- grassroots to grasstips. She has led organizational overhauls to co-create thriving team cultures with her innate ability to understand and celebrate the ‘whole human’ and apply ‘living systems design’. Through this approach she works to unlock the true potential of the people and organizations she engages with by seeing each organization as a living ecosystem (not a well-oiled machine). Brenna has many skills and gifts to offer and is also a lifelong learner. She shares her services with humility and a deep desire to collaborate and learn from you and yours as well!

   Regenerative World Quest

   Sep 2024 — Present

   The Regenerative World Quest (RWQ) is a three year, international, immersive research project to identify, study, and uplift 50 communities all over the world that are living in a regenerative way. Through this work we will cultivate a network of change agents supporting each other in living solutions and implement the best practices through demonstration projects in Colorado and beyond.In addition to local demonstration projects, the quest also has been building a library of content from podcasts, to case studies, interviews and videos. Ideally we aim to write a book about the entire project, the key findings and a replication model for regenerative living.
