ABOUT BRENDON LAU

Brendon is an accomplished violist and bassist studying economics and music at Harvard. He is a member of the the Joyous String Ensemble and has performed all over the world in venues and television shows such as the White House for President Obama, Steve Harvey’s Little Big Shots, NBC’s Today Show, ABC’s Good Morning America, Hunan TV/Sinovision’s Worlds Got Talent, KBS Star King, MMC’s SuperKids, and Wonderama among others. He has also appeared internationally as a soloist and chamber player in halls such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Hall. He has worked with nonprofits such as UNICEF for their World Children’s Day music video and has won awards from the Museum of Chinese in America for his performances in their annual fundraising efforts. He is also a member of the Joyous String Quartet and studies with the 9-time Grammy-Winning Emerson String Quartet. As an music educator, he has had early successes with students moving on to study at the Juilliard School Pre-college and the Manhattan School of Music Pre-college and appearing on television shows such as HBO’s Sesame Street and Wonderama and venues such as Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, and Barclays Center. At Harvard, he is the Vice President of the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra, the Finance Director of Brattle Street Chamber Players, an analyst of the Harvard Undergraduate Capital Partners, and volunteers for PBHA’s Harmony. He hopes to pursue his interests in finance, consulting, and data analytics in the fall semester. In his free time, he enjoys powerlifting, finding new restaurants in NYC and Boston, watching MMA, hanging out with his family, and taking his BeReal obscenely late.
