About Brendan Miller

Brendan is a principal energy storage engineer in the renewables division at Westwood and serves as a subject matter expert on battery energy storage projects. He joined Westwood in 2018 and has served across a wide variety of markets including battery storage, solar, and wind energy, with experience in residential, commercial, and industrial development projects. He has overseen development and construction engineering and construction services for many renewable power projects for Westwood and previous employers. Battery storage project experience with Westwood includes dozens of development phase designs and consultation for discretionary permitting and design feasibility as well as construction level design for projects. He also has approximately nine years of experience in residential, commercial, and industrial land development in the southwestern US. He seeks to ensure that all aspects of projects are incorporated into the design at the onsets of the project, provide engineering solutions and products, and ensure consistency and quality for our clients, while keeping an eye on innovation and changes within the industry. Brendan is a Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in multiple states located in Denver, CO. Other interests lie in renewable energy, energy efficiency, electric vehicles and electric vehicle infrastructure, sustainable design and other clean technologies from both a hobby and professional standpoint. Specializing energy storage, Brendan works with teams of experts on topics ranging from municipal coordination activities to design technology and safety specifics in utility-scale energy storage. He has strong familiarity with project development from due diligence phase to final design including extensive experience in entitlement activities ranging from drainage design, utility design and other civil design coordination items.
