As a Ride Leader with Just Pedal, I support the delivery of cycling events in the UK and abroad. My role is to ensure riders have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience, whether that means setting the pace on the road, solving problems on the fly, or keeping energy high when fatigue sets in.The job goes far beyond turning the pedals. It involves building rapport with clients from a wide range of backgrounds, adapting to challenges such as weather, mechanical issues, or changing group dynamics, and working with the event team to keep everything running smoothly.On multi-day trips, responsibilities extend off the bike: coordinating logistics, maintaining equipment, and supporting clients socially as well as physically. It is a role that combines organisation, resilience, and people skills, and one I find hugely rewarding.
