Manages delivery of the NRC-IRAP program to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within SK.Leads a highly specialized, multi-skilled team of industrial technology advisors who grow Canadian tech companies providing business advice and where appropriate, non-repayable funding. Assist firms in developing, adopting or adapting technologies and incorporating them into competitive products and services for commercialization in the local, regional, national and global marketplaces. Responsibilities include budget and financial management, marketing, promotion and brand awareness, HR planning and coaching of a multi-skilled team of technology advisors, active participation in local economic development community with a focus on high-tech innovation, entrepreneurship and industrial R&D.Invested more than $9.4M in SK though 175 contributions agreements with 113 firms and organizations in 2016-17. Managed over 820 agreements and invested $43.9M in SK since 2009. Grew portfolio from 26 contracts annually to 175, and increased annual investments from $2.2M (2009) annually to over $9M (2017).Fosters key relationships with business leaders, municipal, provincial and federal decision makers, industry associations and other agencies. Signed MOU with the Government of Saskatchewan (2017) for delivery of the Saskatchewan Commercial Innovation Incentive program.Director lead for the NRC-IRAP’s National Mining Sector Team. Provided strategic leadership/advice on planning and delivery. Secured resources and approvals for activities.Regional lead for HR performance calibration. Annual calibrations completed for up to 50 positions.Regional lead for the coordination/delivery of other government department programs including Public Works and Government Service’s Canada’s “Build in Canada Program”, Western Economic Diversification’s “Western Innovation Initiative”, Defence Research and Development Canada, and BC Innovation Council\'s Ignite (BCIC Ignite) program
