ABOUT BRENDAN MCGROARTY

My professional background is in providing opportunities for international student-athletes to achieve the life changing experience of US college degree. Within this my particular passion, focus and expertise is in the US Collegiate Rugby system. This includes recruitment and placement of quality young players within these higher education and rugby playing institutions. I established Elite Rugby Scholars which is my very own consultancy services for rugby playing students and their families. I have previously worked as a Rugby Development Officer for local authority, club and Scottish Rugby Union as well as Performance Academy Manager. Before this I achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy & Finance at University of Glasgow. I enjoyed a 30 year rugby playing career and representing Scottish Premiership side Glasgow Hawks. I have also represented the Scotland Club XV, Projecx Waterboys and Glasgow Warriors ‘A’ side. I still find myself pulling the boots on every now and again for my home town club Greenock Wanderers. I am an active World Rugby level 3 coach and work with Hutcheson Grammar School in Glasgow.
