About Brendan Dillon
I lead Planning and Inventory Management for one of the most complex retail businesses in the U.S, accountable for ensuring guests can find and purchase the products they want—when, where, and how they want—while driving profitable growth and disciplined inventory ownership. With more than 20 years at Target, I’ve had the opportunity to lead across both commercial merchandising and supply chain functions. Today, my role spans end-to-end planning and inventory decisions, including demand, assortment, financial, and inventory planning; allocation and replenishment execution; in-season management; and key event and transition readiness across channels and business types.I am responsible for a globally integrated Planning & Inventory Management organization, including senior leaders and teams based in the U.S. and international hubs such as Bangalore. Together, we focus on improving purchasability, on-shelf availability, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and margin—connecting planning precision to real guest outcomes and enterprise value.Across my career, I’ve helped teams unlock value through capability building, automation, and operating model transformation. I specialize in bringing clarity to complexity—designing scalable planning and inventory systems, modernizing decision-making, and leading the trade-offs required to balance availability, margin, and inventory investment. My leadership philosophy centers on aligning teams around clear objectives, strong routines, and a shared sense of purpose. I care deeply about developing diverse, high-performing teams and building industry-leading planning and inventory talent. I believe great outcomes come from combining rigorous thinking with empathy, accountability, and a commitment to continuous learning.
