Co-founded ATKO with my father in 2013, embarking on a journey that has been as challenging as it is rewarding. Over the years, I’ve gained invaluable experience in retail operations, customer relationship management, and business strategy, while continuing to grow and adapt in the ever-evolving DIY and Home Improvement sector.What inspires me most about this industry is the incredible dedication and care our customers bring to their work. These are business owners who have spent years building relationships and serving their communities. Their customers aren’t just transactions - they’re neighbours and friends.One moment that stood out to me was in a customer’s store when a consumer buying fence posts and timber asked for bolts and washers. Instead of simply completing the sale, the merchant took the time to understand the project, recommended a better fixings option, and ensured the customer left with everything needed to do the job right. This thoughtful, expert advice is what sets our customers apart - it’s about providing solutions, not just products.This level of service inspires me every day.
