ABOUT BRENDA GARCIA

It\'s me! Hi! I am excited to tell you a bit about myself.Growing up in a country where internet access was a luxury, I always had an innate curiosity about technology. However, it never occurred to me that it could be a viable career path for a woman.🪢 But fate had its own plans, just like an Invisible String, weaving the path of my life. In high school, while working on a \"Game of Life\" project, I was randomly assigned my profession for the project to be Software Engineer.\"What even is that?\" I would think back then, little did I know that this seemingly random choice would shape my future.🦸‍ I joined college without any prior coding experience. Much like the beginning of a Love Story, I fell head over heels for the coding world. As I delved deeper into this career, I realized that being a software engineer allowed me to be a kind of Fearless hero, using my skills to solve real-world problems and make a difference. Long story short, my journey had its ups and downs, but each challenge only made me stronger and more determined. Today, I take immense pride in my Latina heritage. My roots are a source of strength and resilience in both my personal and professional life. I am committed to representing and celebrating diverse voices in the tech community. Just like Barbie can be anything, I believe coding is a field open to diverse interests and personalities. I approach my work with a sense of individuality and flair, challenging stereotypes and proving that you can be a skilled coder while staying true to your own passions and personality.
