About Brenda Frye

I am in and have been in leadership and consulting roles in higher education, non profit and business. I have consulted and assisted with strategic planning with the executive and board members in a program in Barbados, West Indies; was the program lead on the first ever program evaluation, took the lead on the multicultural competence project, and the lead on a process improvement team evaluating the assessment methodologies at Hazelden Graduate School of Addiction Studies. I have been the lead on the development of degree programs, conference committees and research principle investigator both at Concordia Univesity in Saint Paul and the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. I am regularly engaged in scholarly research and am Principle Investigator on a project with the University of Minnesota titled, Disseminating and Implementing Empirically Supported Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as a project looking at engagement strategies in online learning and teaching. Furthermore, I am the lead two separate projects; one on multiculturalism and another on cognitive aspects of risk taking behaviors among youth. Finally, I am the Executive Director of a small consulting firm in the Minneapolis area, called Stepping Stone Services and Consulting, a division of the larger, National Initiatives for Healthy Youth. We provide consultation and program evaluation to businesses and treatment programs for a variety of strategic planning, leadership and business development needs.
