ABOUT BRENDA ESTRADA-RODRIGUEZ

I am a first-generation college graduate exploring graduate programs in global business, strategic management, and MFA Dance. While financial stability is an important motivation, my deeper drive comes from overcoming barriers and creating opportunities for both myself and the communities I represent. I am seeking the intersection of international business and dance, a space where creativity and strategy meet, as I challenge myself to step beyond my comfort zone and redefine what my path can look like.As the oldest of four, with parents who did not complete high school, I have always worked to set an example for my younger siblings. That sense of responsibility and determination guided my work as Program and Community Manager at Latino Startup, where I helped clients apply the Lean Startup methodology to identify and reach the right markets for their products. Now, I am committed to being part of organizations that do the same, creating platforms where communities can grow and thrive.That same sense of purpose shapes the way I approach storytelling and movement. Dancing socially with another person, learning new movement and breathing in sync, feels magical to me. It is how we tell stories, how we connect, and how we briefly step into each other’s space and lives, even if only for a fragment of a minute. In those moments, what remains is presence, rhythm, and the simple joy of the music. The body becoming a vessel.Additionally, this passion for storytelling fuels The People Project, a platform I am developing to highlight the significance of every individual’s story and promote understanding, reflection, and community.I look forward to continuing to learn, collaborate, and contribute as I pursue graduate studies and build a career at the intersection of business strategy, innovation, and social impact - with a little dance
