Serves patrons by managing reservations; scheduling, training, and supervising personnel• Identifies current and future patron service requirements by establishing personal contact and rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements• Develops operational guidelines by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures• Establishes reservation system by planning use of tables; allocating stations; determining staffing requirements• Fulfills dining reservation schedule by assigning and scheduling staff; following up on work results• Maintains dining room staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees• Schedules patrons by recording dining reservations, arrangements for special parties, and private room accommodations• Maintains dining room ambiance by monitoring serving stations, table linens, floors, seating, lighting, and music• Plans for, books and coordinates private, social, family, and corporate events: coordinated, supervised, trained and directed • Manages profit & loss, by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions• Leads all people aspects, including hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and employee development; conductes performance appraisals, takes disciplinary action as necessary• Instrumental in increasing the revenues by setting up numerous restaurant promotions, public relations, and marketing programs and events• Successfully attains the targets related to food and operational cost controls
