ABOUT BRENDA RICHARDSON

Brenda Richardson, MA, RDN, LD, CD, FAND is owner/president of Brenda Richardson MA,RD,LD,CD, LLC. Brenda has more than thirty-five years of proven success in directing multi-million dollar food service and nutrition operations. Brenda is a national lecturer, Past Chair of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Political Action Committee (ANDPAC), past member of the Academy Positions\' Committee, past member of the Academy Finance and Audit Committee, Past Treasurer and Past President of the Indiana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Past Chair and Past Treasurer of DHCC “Dietetics in Health Care Communities” (practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics), has served as editor and author/co-authors for many national publications and books. Brenda has served as a clinical advisor for Hormel Health Labs and for Healthcare Hospitality Solutions. Her expertise is in demand as she has successfully assisted multiple Long-Term Care facilities cited with serious and immediate jeopardy deficiencies, achieve and sustain positive nutritional outcomes. Brenda has served on the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics CMS work group and the Impact Act Task Force. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics selected Brenda for the “2010 ADA Grassroots Excellence Award”, presented in Washington, DC and Brenda was also awarded as the Indiana Academy 2010 Honored Dietitian. In 2016 Brenda was awarded the Medallion Award from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for her lifetime achievements in nutrition. In addition Brenda was selected for the prestigious 2019 Lenna Francis Cooper Memorial Lecture Award. Brenda’s practical experience and skills put her in demand for advocating the profession, and professional speaking throughout the country.
