ABOUT BRENDA MUTHONI
Hi there, I’m Brenda Muthoni (she/her). I’m a social worker by education and passion, I truly enjoy working with individuals, meeting them where they’re at and helping them navigate different supports and resources. I have my master’s in clinical social work from the University of St. Thomas. I am licensed as a graduate social worker (LGSW) and as an alcohol and drug counselor (LADC). I currently work as a Police Embedded Social Worker with Hennepin County at the Brooklyn Park Police department and as a social worker at Children’s Hospital. I have experience across many different settings. I worked as a mental health policy consultant for Department of Human Services and worked in various roles for the Department of Corrections with my last roles serving as a clinical program therapist in behavioral health and chemical dependency services.
