About Brenda Layana
I am looking to find the opportunity to align myself with a successful group of people working toward specific goals and driven by good leadership. I do possess the tenacity to focus my efforts in helping an organization move toward solutions and achieving their mission. I believe that having the right attitude, initiative and commitment is crucial for the success of any project. My biggest contribution to my work is my ability to stay focused, work well under pressure, be extremely organized and open to be inclusive while inspiring others to do their best, creating strong work teams has been my trail. Extensive experience in the development of activities and tools to enhance social networks and community service. Excellent administrative and interpersonal relationships, focused on achieving goals with a positive attitude and teamwork. I am computer literate, trilingual: speak and write English and Spanish and understand Italian. Knowledgeable in HR, PR, training, and overall business operation as I have also been an entrepreneur owning a company that provided services to 5 stars hotels and restaurants. I worked for over 10 years as an independent consultant with different NP boards, fundraising, logistics, legal compliance, organizing and recruiting volunteers, and plan implementation. Currently and for the last 4 years, I have been working with the Department of Mental Health building collaborations with LA Unify School District, Community Centers, Universities, and non-profits organizations.
