Horizons Hampton Roads is a 501(c)(3) that has been serving youth since The program follows the award-winning Horizons National model by offering an effective six-week educational enrichment program to children in grades K-8 from under-resourced communities. Children thrive in high quality, enriching environments where engaging learning opportunities foster their potential. Our community-centered approach is proven to help close the opportunity gap for children and put them on a path to success in school and in life. Horizons students who return each summer have been shown to have significantly higher rates of on time graduation and advancement to post-secondary education. Our program continues to support students into high school with career exploration and linkage to opportunities for attending college or other advanced training. Horizons Hampton Roads is a local affiliate of Horizons National, with more than 70 sites across the US.
