About Vimukthi Bandara
As a DevOps Engineer at Zoom, I contribute to the development and deployment of scalable and reliable cloud solutions, using Container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Groovy, jenkins, Python, along with AWS services. I have successfully implemented container orchestration platforms on-prem with Rancher RKE and Openshift, using Ansible as a configuration management tool. I have also created cloud infrastructure with Terraform in Azure and AWS, working with services such as AKS, ACR, Application Gateway, Azure Database, and Cosmos DocumentDB to name a few azure services and also experienced with AWS services such as VPC, EC2, EKS, ECR, Code tools, Route53 etc.Later on i research on LLM, Linux kernel live patching for ARM64, supporting elasticsearch deployments and learning deep in to elasticsearch, and a whole lot of vibe coding for devops automatons. I have a Computer Science degree focused in Software Engineering from the University of Plymouth, where I developed strong analytical and communication skills. I am a Certified Kubernetes Administrator and well experienced in EKS and AKS. I have a demonstrated history of working in the computer software industry, with previous experience in mobile app development and the internet of things. I am currently learning Golng and Rust and eager to explore new technologies and challenges in the DevOps and SRE domain.
