ABOUT BREE BOEHLKE

I’m a community engagement professional who loves connecting people to the projects that shape their everyday lives. I focus on inclusive outreach, accessible communication, and helping residents and businesses be informed, supported, and heard - especially when it comes to transit, public infrastructure, and community programs.I’m currently with the City of Tempe in Neighborhood Services, supporting outreach for Public Works, Water and the city’s Pavement Quality Index program. My favorite part of this work is making sure residents know what’s happening in their neighborhood and that communication is clear, transparent, and easy to follow. Before joining Tempe, I worked on several Transit Oriented Communities projects in Phoenix, helping build engagement plans that centered people, mobility, and long-range community goals. I also spent six years at Valley Metro coordinating outreach for light rail extensions, the Tempe Streetcar project, utility relocation, and roadway construction. I helped residents and businesses navigate construction impacts while making sure their perspectives shaped project decisions.Earlier in my career, I served as Deputy Director of Constituent Services in Governor Janet Napolitano’s office. In 2024, I was appointed by Governor Katie Hobbs to the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority Board. I volunteer with the Arizona Humane Society (catch me on 3TV’s Pets on Parade)- I’m a lifelong Star Trek fan, WNBA/MLB enthusiast, and a proud member of the Ice Denettes synchronized skating team.Specialties: Community Engagement • Public Involvement • Accessible Communication • Government Navigation • Transit & Infrastructure Outreach • Program Coordination • Stakeholder Relations • Public Speaking • Volunteer & Event Management #TransitNerd #WhyNotSynchro #AdultsSkateToo #Bookworm
