How can you teach and motivate others if you yourself are lackadaisical about the process of learning? Besides, learning is a continuous process. Every day I read academic papers, attend seminars, and read of blog posts discussing new research and insights into age-old management problems. As a corporate trainer who wants to remain on top of the game, I keep myself abreast of the latest developments and practices used by the best facilitators. I am an avid reader and draw from all fields (philosophy, human psychology, sports, nature and wildlife, spirituality, politics — you get the picture!). That’s the only way to cultivate a well-rounded understanding of the world we live in. The ability to break complex ideas down into components that make for easier understanding and the ability to draw the best out of my students is core to helping them learn.
