ABOUT BREANNA H.

I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a double minor in Child & Family Development and Women & Gender Studies. During my time at Charlotte, I am most proud of completing the Women\'s Leadership Development Program and being the Secretary of the Triota Honor\'s Society. The women\'s program taught me various leadership styles, career progression, breaking into male-dominated fields, collaboration, and the importance of perseverance. But the most important lesson I learned was to always believe in yourself.During my time as Secretary, I was responsible for maintaining a record of current members\' status (paid or unpaid dues as well as volunteer hours), recording minutes for meetings, collecting members\' volunteer hours, and record of proposed and ratified amendments to the Triota\'s constitution.I worked at Triangle Disability & Autism Services, a nonprofit that supports and advocates for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as a Vocational Services Supervisor. This is where I help individuals determine their career options, and match their experience and work history to available jobs. I also help supervise various job coaches within the company to ensure that the working individuals are well supported in their employment.Currently, I have relocated to Charlotte where I am a Community Employment Program Specialist for NC DHHS EIPD, and still work with individuals with disabilities.I am passionate about promoting equality and diversity. I value making connections and developing relationships with people. Reliable, knowledgeable and highly organized team player with excellent communication skills, team building, and leadership management.
