ABOUT BRAYDON BEAULIEU

Braydon Beaulieu is an experienced game designer, narrative designer, writer, editor, and researcher working at Ubisoft Toronto (permanent full-time Team Lead Narrative Designer) and Toronto Metropolitan University (part-time Lecturer). Braydon has worked in games for over five years, shipping in that time five tabletop RPGs as Editor, several escape games as Producer, two ARGs as Narrative Designer, and three video games as Narrative Designer. He now works on an unannounced project at Ubisoft Toronto. Braydon has worked as an educator for over 12 years, teaching post-secondary courses in video game writing, composition, literary analysis, literary theory, and creative writing. His critical work has been featured in many influential venues including First Person Scholar, FreeFall Magazine, and This Magazine. His essay \"Dystopoetics: The Broken Dream of Conceptualism\" earned Braydon a nomination for the Alberta Magazine Publishers\' Association\'s Emerging Writer Award in 2016. He now teaches game writing at Toronto Metropolitan University. Braydon\'s creative work focuses on various themes such as hybridity, loss, and intertextuality, and has been featured in many prominent publications including Matrix Magazine, Broken Pencil, and the Windsor Review. He has had chapbooks published by No Press, SPACECRAFT Press, and Chromium Dioxide Press, and has had work published in two anthologies by major Canadian publishers. His short story \"Dulosis\" won Matrix Magazine\'s Lit POP Fiction Award in 2012.
