ABOUT BRAYDEN YUEN
Growing up, my favourite childhood book was The Way Things Work by David Macaulay. With its colourful dioramas and woolly mammoth characters revealing the hidden intricacies behind everyday objects, this book instilled the inquisitive approach I carry with me today. It sparked a curiosity to look past the surface and ask: What’s happening behind the scenes? How does it work? Why does it work that way?It also taught me the importance of storytelling. Complex ideas are only as powerful as our ability to share them in a way that others can understand. Whether it’s breaking down the mechanics of a machine for a child, explaining a process to a team, the challenge is the same: getting the message across. Throughout my degree, I’ve been learning that the key lies in simplifying concepts, using relatable examples, and guiding your audience step by step.That same curiosity drives me today.
