ABOUT BRAY PATRICK-LAKE

Ms. Patrick-Lake is a subject matter expert in integrating patient insights into medical product development with added focus in clinical trial design and digital health technology development. She has worked with diverse companies from early stage start-ups to large, mature companies in a regulatory setting. Ms. Patrick-Lake began her career as a founder and CEO of a patient advocacy group involved in clinical trials at a national level before transitioning to academia, industry, and later the FDA. She has worked on multistakeholder field shaping collaborations in the digital health space, and the science of engagement in digital studies, health programs, and product development while at Evidation Health. She led extensive efforts through the Duke Clinical Research Institute and the FDA Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative to incorporate patient voice into clinical trial design, conduct, oversight, and regulatory frameworks, as well as efforts to adopt digital measures and technologies. Additionally, she co-chaired the Advisory Committee to the NIH Director’s Working Group responsible for authoring the vision and roadmap for the Precision Medicine Initiative Cohort Program. She served as the Interim Director of Engagement after program launch (now All of Us Research Program) and later served on its National Advisory Panel. She has led engagement efforts at Duke’s Coordinating Center for Verily\'s Project Baseline Study, and serves on the Health Science Policy Board of the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine and the Scientific Leadership Board of the Digital Medicine Society. Prior to joining the Agency, she served as a strategic advisor to companies developing digital health products and technology solutions for the clinical trial enterprise.
