Apr 2015 — Present · Silver Spring, MD, US
As part of the Office of Technology, Planning and Integration for Observation (TPIO) I am helping to ensure current and future observing systems support NOAA\'s mission needs and, where possible, the needs of the global community through support of the NOAA Observing System Council (NOSC), Observing System Committee (OSC), and individual Line Office needs. We also work to provide context to the NOAA community on the impact their products and systems have on NOAA as well as who is utilizing the information within NOAA.https://nosc.noaa.gov/tpio/Current projects include- Development of interactive Tableau visualization which allow for interactive browsing of NOAAs Observing System Portfolio- Generation of geographic coverage files that correspond to NOAA Observation Requirements and relating them to the requirement\'s attributes for effective visualization- Developing a consistent and integrated observing systems data configuration and management process- Working to improve how NOAA visualizes its Observation Requirements, Observing System Capabilities, and Product Value Tree.
