About Brandon Ryan
As a Software Engineer at Cubic Transportation Systems on the payments team, I apply my skills in Java and Python to design, program, test, and support software solutions for payment services specifically for transportation. I have over 4 years of software development experience, including 3+ years as a Software Developer/DevOps Engineer at Cubic where I implemented software solutions for production features in cities such as Boston, New York, and San Francisco. I am involved defect analysis and resolution as well as validation and system design for new project requirements. In addition, I also wrote an internal performance benchmarking tool for our deployments utilizing a Cassandra database.I also took on other payment related responsibilities outside of development, working simultaneously as an EMV engineer for our device L3 certifications with acquirers and banking companies such as Fiserv, Chase, and WorldPay. For these projects, I was also in charge of leading the Go-Live initiatives for getting the back office payments application up and running and into production with Fiserv in preparation for upcoming cities coming online.Another key responsibility of mine is managing the digital wallet keys for all production environments utilizing ApplePay and GooglePay through the mobile payment application. To achieve this I worked closely with Apple and Google to keep these keys in production environments secure and up to date through key rotation and exchange.I hold a Master\'s degree in Computer Science from San Diego State University, where I developed an interest in machine learning and embedded systems. I also participated in the Stuart McClure: CEO Executive Circle Summer Internship Program at BlackBerry, where I developed a support automation tool used in QA for Virtual Machine creation and replication. I am passionate about creating innovative and efficient software that improves the lives of people and communities. I am always eager to learn new technologies and expand my knowledge.See my code on GitHub @
