ABOUT BRANDON SHIN

I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics & Data Science. During my time at UCSB, I was introduced to all of the possibilities in programming. It was then at my first post-collegiate job where I was able to utilize some of these skills I picked up to improve my team\'s function and efficiency. After seeing myself applying what I already knew to make these changes for the better, I decided to further my education and pursue this passion I had discovered.I have previous professional experience in data analytics and am comfortable operating within the fields web development and data analytics. Some of my key skills include pair programming, test-driven development, object-oriented programming, data mining, machine learning, and proficiency in coding languages such as Python, R, JavaScript, HTML, and SQL. I am also familiar with various frameworks such as React, Redux, Express, Flask, Sequelize, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Spark.I am a hard worker who goes the extra mile and I enjoy both the journey and result of figuring out the different challenges that creating models and web applications present.Outside of programming, I enjoy playing sports like golf and basketball, trying out new restaurants, and collecting sneakers.
