About Brandon Schroder
Out of high school in San Antonio, Brandon attended Texas A&M University where he studied Accounting as an undergrad and obtained a master\'s degree in Finance, graduating Cum Laude from A&M\'s Professional Program in Accounting and earning his CPA license shortly thereafter. He then started full time at Ernst & Young in their Business Tax Services practice where he served several Fortune 500 companies and other large clients in the Real Estate, Chemicals, Telecom, and Private Equity industries, to which he provided a variety of services, including preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax compliance, R&D credit studies, as well as prepared and audited tax provisions. In September 2015, Brandon accepted a job at AT & T in downtown Dallas working in their Federal Income Tax Research and Planning group. Since joining AT & T, his tax technical acumen was significantly enhanced through his leadership and involvement in structuring major transactions such as AT & T\'s recent divestitures of WarnerMedia (fka TimeWarner) and DIRECTV, as well as numerous other internal and external restructurings. Brandon was promoted to Director-Tax in May 2020, and in accepting the new role took on expanded responsibilities for delivering on key process indicators impacting AT & T\'s bottom line, including cash taxes, ETR, risk mitigation, and tax reporting. For these and other efforts Brandon was twice-awarded AT & T\'s coveted \"Service Excellence Award\".In April 2024, Brandon transitioned to the tax planning and optimization team at Koch Industries and is excited about the opportunities this new role is sure to bring.
